About
The pro-metabolic eating app for women who are done with restriction.
ProMetabolic was built for one reason: too many women are being told to eat less, fast longer and cut carbs — and ending up exhausted, cold and broken because of it.
What we believe
Modern wellness culture has it backwards. For thirty years, women have been told that restriction equals health. Skip breakfast. Cut the carbs. Fast longer. Eat less.
The result of that experiment is now in: a generation of women in their 20s, 30s and 40s with disappearing periods, thinning hair, anxiety, exhaustion they can't shake, and lab results that come back "normal" while they feel anything but.
Dr. Ray Peat saw this coming. A biologist with a PhD in physiology, Peat spent over forty years researching how hormones, metabolism and nutrition interact at the cellular level. His conclusion was unfashionable then and remains unfashionable now: restriction is a stress signal, and stress destroys metabolic health.
His framework — what we now call pro-metabolic eating — argues that your thyroid, your mitochondria and your hormones need fuel, not famine. Ripe fruit. Whole milk. Honey. Eggs. Butter. Salt. Carbohydrates that refill your liver. Foods that lower stress hormones and warm your body from the inside.
ProMetabolic exists to make that framework practical. To give women a tool that doesn't count calories, doesn't shame them for eating, and doesn't pretend that the solution to chronic fatigue is more discipline.
What the app actually does
Five tools in one app
Who built this
ProMetabolic is built by a small independent team in the United Kingdom. We're not a venture-funded "wellness platform". We're not a calorie tracker reskinned for the pro-metabolic crowd. We're builders who got fed up watching women suffer for advice that doesn't work — and decided to build the alternative.

The app is grounded in three sources:
- Dr. Raymond Peat (1936-2022) — biologist, PhD in physiology. The foundation of the whole approach.
- Dr. Broda Barnes (1906-1988) — physician who pioneered basal body temperature as the most accurate marker of thyroid function. Author of Hypothyroidism: The Unsuspected Illness.
- Weston A. Price (1870-1948) — dentist and researcher who documented the dietary habits of traditional cultures before industrial food. His work showed the destructive impact of refined oils and processed grains long before mainstream science caught up.
What we are not
ProMetabolic is not:
- A calorie counter or weight loss app
- A fasting or keto app
- A replacement for medical advice — always consult your doctor
- Affiliated with any pharmaceutical company, supplement brand, or other "metabolic" product
- A get-thin-quick scheme
ProMetabolic is a tool for women who want to support their thyroid, hormones and metabolism through nourishment. It works slowly — most users see meaningful changes within 4 to 12 weeks. Cycle regulation often takes 3 to 6 months. Hair regrowth takes 6 to 9 months.
If that timeline feels too slow, this app is not for you. If it feels honest, it probably is.
Our promise: we will never tell you to eat less, fast longer, or cut carbs. We will give you tools to support the systems that actually run your body — your thyroid, your liver, your hormones, your mitochondria.
